1. Medal for Good Service in the Navy (Hæderstegnet for God Tjeneste ved Søetaten)

Silver medal, 3rd version 1843, with at the face the crowned cypher of King Christian VII and date ‘29 JAN: 1801’ and ‘FOR GOD TIENESTE’ reverse inscribed ‘FORTIENT’ (deserved). Original ribbon in the Danish style with brooch bar mounted for wear. The medal was instituted on 29 January 1801 to acknowledge 25 years’ good service in the royal naval dockyard. It was extended to non-commissioned naval officers in 1844 and to naval officers in 1925. Rare medal.
